Is there an ETA on any of the new control panels coming out? It's been pretty quiet lately.

NOT an advertisement, you asked :)

We developed (and are still developing) our Linux control panel BASED on the Cobalt files and structures and settings but it works on a Linux Box - This would mean that you can run the same control panel on your Cobalt and on your Linux Box ( except our Cp runs on MySQL and not PGSQL like cobalts)... we are eager to finish but you know how things are :) We are working on it, it right now has:

admin can add domain/user/dns via 1 screen
automatic nightly webalizer stats
Ability for reselling (adding) domains to 1 account
ftp/email setttings (like cobalts, with aliases and forwardto etc..)
php, perl and stuff
Sub domain contorl panel
MySQL creation control panel and MyAdmin one very account
customers can edit MX records...
customser can edit their own dns records

hope to have a safe API so customser can add ftp/email accounts form the web

its a work in progress :)

I don't know if you want suggesttions for that cobalt cp but if you can add a three stage reseller pannel like CPannel that would be great. That is one of the major things that cobalt lacks.

<<Ability for reselling (adding) domains to 1 account >>

Thats exactly what that means... 1 site admin can have many domains under his contorl and he can see the quotas and edit the site info/quotas and he can enter the siteadmin area of his other domains using 1 username and password as if he was a siteadmin user on that site :)

Normally we don't allow people to comment on their own products or services, however the only people who can accurately answer this question are the developers themselves.

On which distributions of Linux will this control panel work on and how much will it cost?

RedHat linux 7.1, 6.2 and Cobalt Linux (I have not tested under any other distribution, the only things that the distribution needs are:
MySQL
startup/shutdown scripts for services
PAM.D files
Sendmail

and the HTTPd and NAMED are our own compilations for CHROOT bind and special httpd modules....

We cant offer information on pricing (because thats considered selling in this forum i beleive and we do not have final prices yet)

We do however need WEBHOSTS and individual users with distributions other than redhat and cobalt to help us test the features of the software and on which distributions it will run...

Please PM me or EMAIL me if you are interested in testing... thanks :)
