would any one suggest going back to WHM version 8?
version 8 has it's problems (mainly oscommerce installation) however, that can be solved by a manual download and installation.

However, with version 9, Frontpage is broken and cannot be viewed on web browser.
frontpage extension is not something to compromise since there are no other mitigating solutions.

any complication of rolling back to WHM8?
Is it feasible to roll back?

Cpanel is getting very buggy and is getting on my nerves.
my support tickets have been for nothing but cpanel bugs since version 7.

please advise.
thanks

WHM 9.x has more than enough problems. Mail queue is stuck. No messages are being delivered. cPanel breaks on one server. I have to manually restart Apache and bind every time a new domain is added.

That's all I've been notified of so far. I'm not pleased at all .

SERIOUSLY !!!!!!

I have had it with cpanel ... after 4 years of fighting a losing battle with this software, I am finally throwing in the towell. I know my admins will surelly appreciate it.

My favorite scenario is this:

'Upgrade Now because of a serious security flaw' and they the part that they leave out of the message is: 'and introduce 10,000 more bugs into your cpanel install'

... currently looking at alternative control panels for ALL of my servers ...

That just happened a few days ago - there was a security flaw discovered in WHM 8.x - people could run commmands on your server as root through an exploit.

They said it was fixed in 9.1, but 9.1 is causing us so much trouble.

... well i cannot even count the number of times this has occured in the last 4 years. I cannot even get angry about it anymore, i just have to laugh and tell my admins to try and fix everything from the upgrade. We all know we cannot count on support from cpanel for anything or they would allready have created a product that did not have a countless number of bugs in it.

I am done with my rant about cpanel ! Back to work !

The day my cPanel server did a update on its on (cPanel did a forced update), I was extremely pissed. This is something that should NEVER be done without my consent. I have now lost all faith, and am considering possible other control panel solutions.

Yes, I had it setup todo manual upgrades only.
