I'm about to open up a web hosting and design company. And I'm search of a programmer (php, mysql, and the whole lot) for join our design team.

Currently there are two people on my design team... Myself and a graphics/flash artist.

You will be compensated for your work. Currently its at 50/50 (what I have for my graphics/flash designer). But negotiations will be welcome.

I'm looking for someone that is exprienced in php, mysql, etc.

You will be working on a contract basis, so you will get paid when a project comes in. You will be in charge of figuring out your own taxes at the end of the year, etc. (if you need help, I will help you).

Portfolios and examples are welcome.

I have a number of sites under my belt. As I've been designing for over 7 years now. The trouble with designing as long as I have, a majority of the sites I've designed are no longer up and running anymore. A couple of years ago, I was in the airport about the board a plane and security made me put my disks (before CD-Rs were popular and affordable) in the xray machine and erased them all (the airport only paid me $100 in compensation).

Anyways...

I have a couple websites that are still up and running with my design.

And I have a handful of sites of my own that are in the middle of being worked on right now (and are down because I just moved them off a server and going to be uploading to the new one today - hopefully) and I'll update this thread when that's finished.

I have private site that I own and run, and I can't give out the address to the public (but if you contact me personally, I will provide you with the address) - I have to respect my member's privacy (small group of personal friends of mine that are mothers, etc).

Anyway, I do PHP/MySQL - not too good at anything else though. I'm decent at design work but it doesn't look like you'll need much more of that. I coded the new version of http://www.freewebtemplates.com and am working on a few other projects. :)
