Many years ago a co-worker of mine was telling of her first trip to her new optomitrist.

When she went to pick up and pay for her glasses, for some reason she happened to quip "what about the minister's discount". The sales lady reached for a rubber stamp, but my co-worker stopped her before she could stamp the bill.

So the $29.95 might be worth it.

Why pay $29.95 when you can do it for Free! That's right, click here to be ordained a minister, FOR FREE! (http://www.ulc.org)

I think the gimmick is that if you have your own church, thus the minister part, you can apply for tax exemptions and donations.

I was too lazy and cheap to go through all that which is why I'm in my current vocation: Internet Begging. And because I am deity free, I am empowered and self managed. Some days, I just kick back and not beg for hours at a time. Yeah, it sounds great, but leave it to us professionals please.

Actually if you read the ulc site it specifically says you can not get tax breaks.

I did the free ordination and then performed the wedding ceremony for my secretary. It's amazing how easy that works. :)
