I am looking for suggestions on a Windows Control Panel. We are running Windows 2003 Web Edition. Right now we are just provisioning accounts manually, and we don't have any idea how much bandwith each site uses. We looked at Plesk 6.5 but we were disapointed with it. Plesk uses a propriatary DLL for redirection and sites are actually applications running under a shared IP. What are big hosting comapnies using out there like Interland and Hostway? Can someone shed some light on this topic and their experiences with Winwows Control Panels.

The best windows control panel I have ever used and we currently use is helm.

Lots of great features and excellent support.

I found InsPanel http://www.inspanel.com/, a fast growing hosting control panel (win2k, win2003 supported) very decent, user friendly, excellent support. Give it a try, may it will meet your needs.

In contradiction to the others I recommend Plesk 6.5 for Windows.

chernobl! choice of control panel depends on your needs and most importantly on your funds. There are a bunch of Control Panels available but you have to choose the one which you can afford/manage easily.

Ensim doesn't give bandwidth usage either . . . . .

Helm is the best you'll find out there - unfortunately Helm isn't particularly good either :(

Hi,

You can try Hsphere or Etrinix which is easy to use and manage.

Tried Helm for 3 months and was disappointed with its performance.

Just moved over to Ensim and it feels much more professional(yes, I know there is no bandwidth monitoring!).

I am looking closely at Etrinix ( www.extrinix.com ). It has an intuitive interface plus, includes pre-configured asp, php and perl scripts.

Guys,

Anyone knows a panel for windows servers that make backup's and then restore them?

Email, FTP, IIS, accounts data, etc...

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks.

Then you would possibly br crying after a month, when you will not get any response from support techs. it’s better to use InsPanel instead. http://www.inspanel.com
