Hi Friends,

I have ordered a new Xeon server from one of the data center with 1GB ram and 2*80 GB HDD

As am new to such things i just want to confirm from my end, if my data center guy has given me my required configuration..


Can some one help me on how to find it out...

You could try "dmesg | more" and look near the top, or you could try "cat /proc/cpuinfo" if it exists.
