We have looked into Interchange, SoftSense and Miva and we have found that each one is lacking certain functions. Interchange usues too many system resources, SoftSense is a rip off and everybody knows about Miva.
Do any of you have a good experience with a GOOD shopping cart that would be cost effective to resell ?
For me, the best one is The Exchange Project (http://theexchangeproject.org/) :)
It's open source ;) :D

I've been using customized version of exchange project...for my web hosting business and it does what I need effectively.
If you want even more features ( what for ??? )
go for ezpublish i.e. ezcart that comes with it.
But remember, it always work in business to "keep it simple".
If you need any further help...feel free to contact me...
I've got both of them running with me :)

One of my customers is a distributor for over 70 companies. He needs the shopping cart to give him the ability to set up a vendor for each product. After each order is processed each vendor would receive their own customized email. So if a customer ordered 3 items from 3 separate vendors, after the customer places the order each vendor would receive an email with just the item that they are supposed to ship to the customer.

As a new guy to the site and this forum, I am still in browsing mode, trying to read all the posts and get familiar with the forums and subjects. I realize you posted this note in October.
Since I have only been a member since yesterday, this may or may not get replied to.
Nonetheless.........I am one of those people that does not know about MIVA indepth, as far as problems that you or other people may have had with the application.........Could you explain in a little more detail.......Peace RoZey
