I few minutes ago I logged onto espn.com to find this in my address bar...

At first I thought MSN might stand for something else, but once the page loaded the MSN toolbar was sitting at the top of the page. So, how can ESPN be part of MSN and The Go Network (two competing networks) at the same time?

Actually msn in that case is just the host name. I could make http://msn.mycompany.com and it wouldn't mean I was affiliated with msn. I don't know why anyone would want to do that though. :)

No, the MSN toolbar is on top of the page.
It seems like ESPN is actually part of the MSN and Go at the same time.
