Since the RAQ is really just a different type of Unix system, is it possible to put CPanel on it?

At this point in time, I think everyone who attempted it has failed. Cobalts are made for their custom GUI, not anything else.

There is not point in getting a RaQ and installing cpanel on it. Get a better machine w/ cpanel and use that instead.

Disagree. One point would be cost. Especially for people starting up their business. The possibility of getting a RAQ4 with 300 GB for $99 compared to a 'standard' Linux box for 3 or four times that makes people exploring these possibilities.

Unless of course he/she is willing to risk erasing everything off the raq (which I doubt rackshack will support if you do that) and load linux into the server without the raq specific linux kernel programmes.
