Since the RAQ is really just a different type of Unix system, is it possible to put CPanel on it?

Cobalts are made for their custom GUI, not anything else. Chicken 10-28-2001, 02:04 PM There is not point in getting a RaQ and installing cpanel on it. Get a better machine w/ cpanel and use that instead. dherman76 10-28-2001, 02:05 PM Ah-men Brother Chicken! ASPCode.net 10-28-2001, 02:59 PM Originally posted by Chicken There is not point in getting a RaQ and installing cpanel on it. Disagree. One point would be cost. Especially for people starting up their business. The possibility of getting a RAQ4 with 300 GB for $99 compared to a 'standard' Linux box for 3 or four times that makes people exploring these possibilities. zbco 10-28-2001, 03:36 PM Unless of course he/she is willing to risk erasing everything off the raq (which I doubt rackshack will support if you do that) and load linux into the server without the raq specific linux kernel programmes. |
