They're an offshoot of Special Reserve which is one of the UK's biggest mail order console / pc outlets. Been around a lot of years now.

Hosting is NOT their core business by a long way so I wouldn't expect too much, on the other hand the hosting appears to be free with the domain so you have nothing to lose ;)

Same here... just use their domain checking service. I don't know about now, certainly around 6 months ago they had their fair share of downtime. (The hosting is free if you buy a domain... you get the space from Freeola, another Special Reserve offshoot. I didn't host on them, but I helped someone who did). The prices for domains aren't the cheapest either. Have a look at UKReg (http://www.ukreg.com) and 123-Reg (http://www.123-reg.co.uk). I've got all my domains with UKReg, but am seriously considering moving to 123-reg.
