Hi,

Has anyone managed to find a way to track bandwidth used per site ( especially using shared ip / host headers ) in IIS ?

We do it now by running some software against the log files but this only gives a rough idea ( and outgoing only ! )

Is this the same method used by the larger companies or is there some third party software that can track 'live' ?

Ta in advance . . . . .

http://www.serverautomationtools.com/ They have a script that can read & calculate bandwidth via the log files.

Hope that helps!

Win2k has the "Performance" Monitor tool under Administrative Tools Group which is supposed to be able to perform the task you want, although I've never needed to use it as of yet.

Check out Microsoft's Technet as well it should have some sort of article on how to use the tool as well.
