ive been seeing a few "questionable hosts" here who have paid to be premium members.
these members are well known for being problematic.
i take this to mean that being premium now means little? other than the fact that they paid up to look more legit.
nice job.... i hope this is a MISTAKE or oversight on someones behalf

Give it a rest already.
No need to keep harping on about how bad this Premium Member thing is. We know how you feel.
Uh.... since when was premium member suppose to mean more legit? It never was suppose to mean that.
Anyone can become a premium member.

I think it would be hard to put restrictions on who signs up. The forum rules still apply whether they are premium or not. Banned members won't be reinstated if they "offer" to sign up for premium. If they are "questionable" now, being premium doesn't make them "unquestionable".
I can see people's point over Premium membership, and the fact that they think it's 'elitist' or what-not, but as Aussie Bob said, give it a rest.
Seriously, you aren't missing anything, the only reason I actually signed up for it is the fact that I'm nosey. That, and I like to be able to add/remove forums :D
<------- That thing over there isn't so hot looking though

To be fair, it would be really difficult to "accredit" or "certify" any host simply with $50. I guess it has to go back to the end-users who need to apply some judgement of their own. And yes, it is a very good "investment" to pay just $50 for a premium membership and "look" legit. ;)
