Hello,
Everyone expects a link to some company information. But how can this be dealt with when the company is just started? I would of course like to be honest. It's difficult to find out what to write about in the about us section when company has just started.

If you want to be honest then don't put company info on your site yet.

If you a) tell the truth and say you just started 10 days ago you will scare away customers and if you b) lie about it then you will not comply with your own rule :)

I never expected company info though. I don't expect customer testimonials either. I never seem to believe them. They never say "this host sucks, go away" That's not realistic. Even the best host has those kind of customers, because some clients are like ..eh... can we say...idiots?

May I suggest another alternative?

You can use the "About Us" to give a bit of a pitch. For example:

We at BlahHost are committed to delivering the very best web hosting you can find! Our goal is complete customer satisfaction, blah blah blah etc etc etc.

It might be cheesy, but if you have your heart set on having an About Us page, that's what you can do.

But to be honest, you really don't have to have one. I don't. And maybe I'm unusual, but the only time I ever visit "About Us" pages is when I know the webmaster!

Another thing you can put on an about us page would be the specs and info about the network you are on. Chances are, if you are a reseller, or are renting a server, then you can basically copy the information right off your provider's site (Make sure its ok with them first :) )

Hope this helps.

It is very true with what they are all saying.

You can put what your company is aiming toward and what your foundations are, such as excellent support response time, excellent speed and reliability. Also, add in about the network you are on, etc. You should be fine :)

Is it right to use the photos that r on your service provider's website onto your website...like that of cisco, Cobalt, sun, intel and so on ?

If you ask them and they give you permission, then yes. Idon't see why they wouldn't be allowed to be used on yours.

hello,

these are not photos. these are trademark logo's of companies. i don't think there should be any problem using them. every body do.
