Revecom + iBill

Having seen the differences in charges mentioned on this forum, isn't iBill (15%) actually cheaper than revecom (3.95%) as revecome charges that rate per sale! where-as iBill charges their rate per payout period.

Do I have this wrong?

Also does revecom have a system were you can have affiliate links for your products.

Uh? I don't know if it is per payout at ibill. But let's say you made 3 sales for a total of $1,000:

$100 - 3.95% = 3.95
$500 - 3.95% = 19.75
$400 - 3.95% = 15.8

total = $39.5 for revecom

For $1,000 payout for the same sale from ibill at 15 % = $150 (I think what you are saying is that they charge for the amount paid, if that is ture it is ridiculous. You don't pay anyone 15% for your sale for transaction processing.)

So, which one is better?

I considered iBill some time ago but thought their charges were rather steep compared to Revecom. But then, most 3rd party processors are expensive compared to normal merchant account services. I noticed that iBill also imposes minimum/maximum charges if you sell intangibles (http://www.ibill.com/Services/iBillComplete/subscription.cfm), which isn't desireable if you want to sell anything over $100.

Yes, Revecom does support affiliate links.

"..PaySystems will now be sending cheques by registered mail to merchants outside the U.S.A. and Canada only. The fee for this service will be $7. "

Not good.

But you can ask Revecom to send you the cheques only on demand - that way you will not pay too much. Just send them an email

Well, having tried on my somewhat dodgy Java calculator I give up!

I can confirm iBill charges fees made only on total revenues for the billing period.

What exactly are you trying to calculate?

I would recommend 2checkout.com for the following reasons:

Rates are decent
They have no minnimum or maximum, great because we do high prices sales, i.e. dedicated server rentel.
There support is prompt and clear.

I have talked to people who have had bad experiences with revecom, from what they say, there support isn't great, and they are not very supportive. Ibill, has good customer service, but they have a maximum of 100 dollars a sales, i think. And they have really high rates.

This is what I have found to be negative about iBill, worth considering before changing services as these points are not mentioned on their web site:

1: No confirmation email to you is sent after a sale. You have to devise your own way of knowing if and when a sale is made, if you need to act on such a sale.

2: The payment page is NOT customizable. You do have a choice of some pre-made ones, but to be honest, these don't inspire confidence at all.

3: You CAN NOT customize the sales receipt sent to the customer. A real problem if you sell one off services as the receipt mentions the word "subscription" regardless of what you sell.

4: Each and every change you make to your product listing have to be cleared by an iBill representative. A friend of mine recently had to wait 3 days before a new product was added to his list.

Worth bearing in mind.

Like someone pointed out, don't forget the 15% is for their 3rd party billing, which uses iBill's own merchant account, not yours. I used their 3rd-party stuff for about two months and the rate just killed me, but I finally got my own merchant account, kept iBill as my transaction provider, and have been happy since. Then I don't use their order pages, etc I just process transactions through a https gateway.

It's like 50 cents a transaction, plus visa takes their 2-3%. Plus $10/month statement fee. It never ends  most of that's bank's fees not iBill's though.

I'm biased - I'm a reseller for iBill, but if you sign up at their site I don't think they'll track me down and hand me cash :bawling:

hey add this point in above list.

when customer order same plan 2 time within 1 - 2 hrs his credit card is only charged once. this is becoming reducules. i daily have to write one customer to make payment again.

anyway, i have signed up with worldpay.com and will shift all transaction to revecom and worldpay when i will receive first payment from them
