I've ssl on my main site..I had certificate working fine..when I took backup of the cert directory of my site.

Now I've formatted my hard disk of cobalt and reinstalled everything.

Will overwritting the current self signed certificate directory with my old cert directory..which I had backed up b'fore formatting hard disk be fine ?


I'm worried..coz. it is the main site of system and if anything wrong happens ...all sites will go offline.

PS : I just have only 1 IP on my cobalt.

You kinda get teh feeling it won't, eh? Obviously it would probably be better to reinstall the cert., but it is part of a large backup file I'm guessing, so what the hey, try it, heh. If it isn't part of a huge backup file then I'd personally reinstall the cert. (manually).
