Three new SCO licensees were announced, Leggett and Platt, Computer Associates and Questar.

What does this have to do with getting a new bed? Chances are the bed you sleep on is made of parts by Leggett and Platt...

While Leggett & Platt may not be a familiar name to you, chances are you sleep on a bed made with Leggett components - box spring, innerspring, foam and fiber; relax in a recliner that has an L&P motion mechanism powering it; shop in stores that have products displayed on shelving made by L&P; barbeque on a grill that's made up of Leggett cast aluminum - in short, Leggett products are all around you, making the products you use every day more comfortable, durable and life-enhancing.

Ya know, I could see something like this happening:

scummy lawyer: "Hi this is SCO lawyer #349 and you use linux and we're suing people using linux, HOWEVER if you sign here and let us list you as a licensee publicly we'll leave you alone, deal?"
big business: "will this cost me anything?"
scummy lawyer: "not a dime, just let us list you as a licensee"
big business: "and you won't sue us?"
scummy lawyer: "no"
big business: "deal, where do I sign?"

Indeed..I could definitely see that happening....I could also see AutoZone settling this for a "undlisclosed figure" (near $0) outside of court to set an example.

if they settle this for a undisclosed figure, everyone's going to scream thousands....
