Hi Everyone,

We have a reseller account with HostPro for a Vserver Pro, which is a unix based virtual machine with unlimited domains hosting.

Recently, HostPro have merged with Interland and have stopped to offer their own brand of servers. We have found out about it from their web site, we have never received any previous notice about it.

Although they will continue to provide technical support to their products as they claim, they have stopped since October 15, any possibility to purchase add-ons including the possibility of adding new domains !!!

They have offered to migrate towards alternative products which are Interlad brands, but these are inferior in capacity and more expensive compared to the HostPro product we are using now.

We have sent them several email messages for which we have never got any reply. The only phone number published on their site is a toll free number which we as a European based company can not use.

My questions are:

1. Did anyone of you encounter a similar experience with those companies.

2. Is there any legal way to force them to offer us at least an equivalent product and not an inferior one, or alternatively to compensate us for the trouble.

3. Can anyone recommend an alternative hosting company, offering reseller packages, that knows how to treat their customers in a slightly better way.

Thanks.

We setup an e-Commerce site using PDG Shopping Cart with Interland back in early 2000. I had to call their tech support today and I waited 40 minutes before I got somone to talk to on the line! Thats insane.

I've seen a few people recommend this company for resellers.
