We have a reseller account that provides anonymous nameservers but would really like our own. Our hosting company charges £80 for personal nameservers.

Is there anyway around this?

Thanks

This post made me curious...

What is the going rate for nameservers? I mean do hosts even offer that as a seperate service?

Thanks.
Mike.

Nameservers shouldn't cost anything. Its basically just 2 IP addresses and a few DNS entries and its done. :)

Do you manage your own name servers? (Actaul servers, not aliased or scripted NSs that you can do with some CP's). If you did, this opinion would change. :)

Well i think we're talking about shared nameservers here. Those shouldn't be a $30 or whatever some hosts charge setup fee.

Is there anyone who has the service for about $30/year or about it?

I know someone that uses zoneedit but they charge $3-$5 per domain for more than 5 domains.
