hello,

Does anyone know how to switch webalizer from showing stats at
www.domain.com/~stats
to another directory like
www.domain.com/webstats

The ~ makes it confusing for some people to understand. And when you explain over the phone it is just another headache that can be avoided by not using the ~

I will appreciate any pointers!!

thanks

David

Hello,

Do you have webalizer setup?

if you do how did you get it to be in
domain.com/stats

as opposed to
domain/~stats

Do a "locate webalizer2.pl"
it's probably in the /usr/sbin dir
Edit this file, there should be some comments which make it obvious for which part you have to edit.

I am curios as to how it gets setup such that

www.domain.com/~stats -> some directory

where is that setup

and is it not conceivable that the same could be doen so that

www.domain.com/webstats -> some directory

that would be the cleanest solution to me

Editing the scripts could presents later problems ie what happens when I want to upgrade to next version. Too much to remember or keep track of
