Whats the deal with all these "big" hosts using templates for their website? Is the art of building a website lost on "website hosters?"

Although one better are the hosters that don't have a website and just do business through IM,IRC etc.... hmmmmm

Personally... who cares what your website looks like it is as long as its not stolen? Unless you offer website design :p

You can be great at being a host without being great at building a website.

I'd like to have a dollar for every remark I've seen about this or that host who "can't even spend a few bucks for a decent site design"

My first idea when i see a template site is "14 yr old hoster" and go somewhere else...
