View Full Version : Eagle Web downtimes
yuffie123 10-24-2001, 09:25 PM My site has been hosted at Eagle Web for almost two months now. The first month was great, but just this month my site's been down twice. It was down last week for 12 hours, for system upgrades supposedly. And just today my site's been down for 9 hours already! Nobody even bothers to mail me about these extended periods of downtime. What's up? They're not in trouble are they? I'm majorly PO'ed to say the least...
dektong 10-24-2001, 09:34 PM 21 hours of total downtime ... hm, what is their uptime gurantee? 12 hours of downtime for upgrades is a lot .... But they may claim this downtime as scheduled maintanence downtime. The other 9, they won't have any excuse, I believe ... If they offer 99.5% (or higher) uptime guarantee then they can't have more than 3.5 hour (roughly).
cheers,
yuffie123 10-24-2001, 09:54 PM I can't even check because Eagle Web's own site is down.
Anyhow, can anyone recommend a reasonably priced and reliable adult host? I need roughly 30GBs of bandwidth...
well, since you are a high bandwidth site....please dont go with an unlimited bandwidth company!
Also, you may want to check out www.hostsearch.com they are the best!

Hello yuffie123,
I believe EcommerceDiscovery.com allows adult hosting. Here is the link (http://www.EcommerceDiscovery.com)
Good luck ;)

Justice 10-26-2001, 02:31 AM I host a subdomain with them, and it's been down for so long, I can't remember. Since their main page is down, I know it's either something very serious, or something they're working on... in either case, I'll be checking out some new hosts as well...
yuffie123 10-26-2001, 03:27 AM Almost 40 hours of downtime since yesterday... last week had 12 hours, so that's over 50 hours of downtime in a span of less than 2 weeks. It's probably a good idea to start shopping around. I'm currently working something out with ecommercediscovery... I'll probably be relocating there by this weekend.
flatron 10-26-2001, 03:44 AM I approached them for a quote last week, and the reply I got said they were not supporting dedicated servers at this time and he would 'have to ask the big boss'
Was a very weird response that looked like it'd been put together by a 12 year old
choon 10-26-2001, 04:03 AM yuffie123, so you ask Josh from EcommerceDiscovery? Good luck to you ;)
flatron, I suppose you are referring to Eagle Web... :eek2:

Err... what email? Just curious :)
You didn't pay them yet? That's considered lucky ;)
By the way, did you have an account setup from Josh?

yuffie123 10-26-2001, 07:45 PM Josh said their new server isn't quite ready yet but I think it will be by today... I'm definitely transferring to ecommercediscovery.com, beastly Eagle Web still hasn't responded and it's been over 50 hours since my site went down... the longest downtime ever!!!

Did you receive any email from them about the downtime?
yuffie123 10-26-2001, 07:51 PM No, they didn't e-mail me. They just vanished without a trace! Even their own site has been down for 50+ hours... last week they had a 12-hour downtime with no warning as well.
