View Full Version : Any opinions on site5?
I just went by their site, looking for host, and they do offer domain pointers, which is what I was looking for. In addion the striking design, so I was wondering if anyone could share their experience, good or bad? Feel free to email me or ICQ too

There have been many good posts about Site5 at the Scriptkeeper Forums. Just do a search at http://www.scriptkeeper.com/cgi-bin/search.cgi?action=intro and you will find plenty. :)
Best Regards.
Matt Lightner 10-09-2000, 09:41 PM I don't know if I'm qualified to give an opinion on this matter (:D), however I would be more than happy to answer any questions that you have regarding Site5!
Feel free to email me directly at mlightner@sie5.com.
Matt
he meant mlightner@site5.com
i think site5 is good. there seems to be a few bugs with their current control panel. other than that, their support is pretty great. my 2 cents.
sie5.com, Matt? Ai-yah yah, what is the world coming to when hosts can't even spell their own domain names?! :D
(j/k Matt, just having a lend of ya)
Matt Lightner 10-09-2000, 11:25 PM Doh! :homer: (is that the right use of that image?)
That's ok... I once got a top secret document for "site.com". They somehow managed to get a "5" in there. I emailed them back and let them know that they sent it to me... but never heard back from them.
They probably wanted to pretend that it never happened. :D

Tee hee!
Actually I just went to their site (site.com) and had a look around - it says it's been visited 1 times.
Isn't it great to know that I'm the first visitor to their site in.... Ohhhhh........ 2 years? :)
(excuse my ridiculous goofiness please)
Matt Lightner 10-09-2000, 11:33 PM Well then whatever was in those docs couldn't have been TOO important. :D
CFoxHost 10-10-2000, 01:49 PM Maybe it was SO important that since it did not get through in a timely manner... nah, nevermind.. LOL
TheWingThing 10-11-2000, 02:01 AM Aiyooooooooo Ammaaaa,
Can we get back to the topic please? Someone with any experiences with site5?
Matt, spell with me "s-i-e---site". Err, this seems to be infectious. *wink*

MikeA 10-11-2000, 10:12 AM Matt,
Just a question, but what is the diff. between NetAdmin and CPanel? I mean, it looks like netadmin is just a skin for cpanel.
Chicken 10-11-2000, 12:47 PM Mike, I believe they did reskin the Cpanle, but also added some touches of their own. Links, scripts, that billing manager. It is more or less the same thing, but with added features.
JonnyQuags 10-11-2000, 01:13 PM NetAdmin would not run with out the cpanel, but it is not just a skin. I hear it has over 10k lines of code in it and does ad more features :D
jonelin 10-12-2000, 03:50 AM i have a question about site5 also. if i read it correctly, a person can't host if they get the webmaster plan? i have a personal domain but host some sites.
thanks. :)
Matt Lightner 10-14-2000, 02:24 PM Hi everyone!
Sorry for taking a while to respond there :)
You should find the answers to your NetAdmin questions at this URL:

We have also begun development on NetAdmin version 2.0, which will integrate an alabanza-like billing system for resellers as well as dedicated server customers.
Hope that helps!

I know that some of the VDI hosts (including VDI itself), are trying to get something like this up. I think this is one of the biggest things people are looking for, and the moment you get something working, please post a message in the advertising forum!
