View Full Version : Registrar lost domain Recourse?

Hi all,

Because I'm a bit paranoid and don't want my contact info on WHOIS I used an anonymous proxy registrar www.anondom.com

Last week I went to update my DNS servers sine I'm moving hosts and...My domain wasn't there. I emailed support who told me they had recently switched systems and my domain did not come through for some reason. I was then told, and I'm quoting, "We'll try to get you your domain back." As in, it might happen.

It's almost been a week and no further response to emails. Do I have any recourse at all?

Thanks
-One frazzled webmaster

Moved to the Domain Names forums.

Do you still have reciepts or paperwork to prove payment? You may only be able to get a refund for the registration fee. Altough the anondom website sates are fees are non refundable. It looks like anondom.com/proxyone.com are resellers for eNom. You might contact eNom about the matter.

whats your domain might be used to register it somewhere else.

or try contacting enom via www.enom.com/help or support@enom.com and tell them the issue.

Hey thanks guys. I sent Enom an email just now. How did you know Proxyone was an Enom reseller? I looked over that site for a while and never saw it.

When you find out what the problem is...let us know. I have been looking at enom to switch my domains over and would like to use their ID Protect . I would like to know if the problem exist on enom side or the reseller.

Well I got an email from the reseller this morning saying that if I sent them the new IP info for the DNS that they would update it for me. I guess the email to Enom worked.

But the domain is still not showing up in my control panel. Maybe it is a software glitch, I dunno. Either way I think I'll be transfering my domains somewhere else after this. Now all I have to do is convince the registrar to take off my regustrar lock. LOL

The reseller can unlock it for you at your request. Changing DNS usually takes 24-48 hrs.
