View Full Version : Putting Different Sending Limits on Different Exim Users

Hi,
I received a good tip to use WHM's tweak settings to prevent anyone from sending over a certain amount of messages per hour. The problem is several sites (including one I operate that will be on the server) have large mailing lists with high traffic.

Any reasonable limit on message sending really will cripple mailing lists. Is there anyway that I can give either certain accounts or the Mailman program itself a separate, larger limit or no limit at all?

Thanks,
Tim

WHM doesn't have this functionality.

Can I modify a configuration file manually? WHM doesn't seem to mind manual modifications to exim.conf, etc., so mostly I just need to know what I can do as far as exim is concerned.

Thanks,
Tim

I don't think so, it must be a global variable that can't be tweaked on a per-user basis.

Since most emails are sent by nobody I wouldnt recommend this, perhaps it will be more workable with MPM user module with Apache2.
