I am using Cpanel. the FTP is a bit screwy at times. Sometimes, I have to login using ftp.mydomain.com and sometimes just mydomain.com, sometimes within a five minute interval. It's really annoying. Can sombody tell what cause it?

Make sure you clear your cookies frequently. Sometimes session ids don't expire for a while and need to be cleared or "reset" :P

This is possible only when there is a configuration change in FTP server. So make sure that no one is changing the configuration. Make necessary changes in your FTP server and also secure it to prevent from external attacks.
