I was looking into the reseller plan with ahb.ca (http://www.ahb.ca). I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with them? Are they good, reliable? What about their support? I've emailed them couple times and the tech seems to be very fast in getting back to my questions but will it be the same once I go with them down the road? Any information would be great. They also said they have unlimited bandwidth which I brought up on one of the emails I've sent them asking of any hidden price surges after a set amount of quota which they responded as "no restrictions."

Any help or information about them would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

I am currently looking for a new host, but I have been hosting with ahb.ca for several years now and they actually aren't that bad. My site uses 203 GIG of bandwidth monthly, every single month, according to the stats. I think they have probably capped it there since it varies by the week but it always averages out to 203 gb a month. Another site that I host there always averages out to 16 gig a month. So, I don't believe that it's "unlimited bandwidth", as they claim, but it's certainly good enough for most small-to-average sized sites. They have never charged me for additional bandwidth or told me that I need to do something about the amount that I'm using.

Their support is decent. They have phone support and email support. The email support can be a little slow. It sometimes takes a day for them to answer and then the problem has usually fixed itself. If the site is down and I write and tell them about it, they usually write back the next day and tell me that everything looks fine on their end. Well, of course, the sites were only down for a matter of minutes usually so by the next day they are fine. That irritates me about them.

I have more downtime than what is acceptable to me, which is another reason I'm leaving. I calculated that I had 99.826% uptime on one of my site so far this year. That's 15 hours of downtime. They advertise that they offer 99.9% which would have only been 8 hrs 45 mins downtime. That's a big difference.

In general, I would recommend them for people who want to host several domains and don't need a whole lot of space. They only charge $1 per extra domain. Then again, some places don't charge anything for an extra domain. My current month's bill is:

1000 MB for 1 months, 17 sites and 0 forwards for 1 months ($70.00x1+$20.83+$0.00) + tax ($0.00) = $90.83 US

I hope that information will help some people make decisions about ahb.ca. They don't seem like they are going to "run away" as some of the posts about them have said. They've been here for years and have hosted my huge, busy site pretty well for all that time.
