I think you'll have a hard time finding a free host with 100 megs of space, without banners or pop-ups. I may be wrong though.

Just curious... how could a company stay in business offering completely free hosting without ads? They'd have to be getting *something* out of the deal ...

Those all have ads. Xoom closed/was bought out, and CJB is a redirection service.

ok what about 100megs with hotlinking?

I say forget it and ditch out the 20, 30 $ a year that some hosts ask for sites in that range.

Hotlinking is not allowed on any free host whatsoever, and fortunecity and tripod suck ass. (Mention the tripod massacre and the fortunecity debacle to star trek, anime and x-files fans, and you'll know what I'm talking about.) Geocities is the best deal out there as far as small sites go, but their javascript messes up your site. I'm really fed up with them now and want to move.

You might also want to really calculate the space you need. I was shopping for 50MB for one site and after a closer look I realized 10 would do nicely.

This guy doesn't seem to want to pay for anything. Now hes talking about hotlinking. No offense but sounds like a freeloader to me. No such thing as free bandwidth.

dude i do wanna pay but i got my heart set on http://www.aplushosting.com but at the same time the site aint been up that long so i need to make sure i don't take on the resposibility of hosting and then the site folds due to no visitors in a couple months if you get me.
