Hi all,

I have just signed up with Alan of Splashhost.com for a reseller account and I must say that I am very impressed with his technical knowledge and a truly supporting attitude...

His servers are with nac.net and very fast.

He has liveperson on his site and as I was fiddling with WHM on one window, I could get instant chat support on the other browser window!

It is cetainly a very enjoyable customer experience and I just thought I will share this info with other resellers/prospective resellers...

I will keep posting my experiences good or bad so that those who want can benefit from my experience...

Cheers
Balaji

Thanks for sharing, Balaji.
Be sure to update us in a couple of months.
I've talked with Alan before and he seems all you say.
But, time tells a better story.

You are welcome SoftWareRevue :)

Having been in IT service industry for over 12 years, I do understand that first impressions or initial enthusiasms are just not sufficient to form opinions; but what I mean is, I had some difficult questions about remote DNS, accessing WHM through a firewall and a couple of similar queries and he was spontaneous with his response, enabling me to set up accounts in seconds.

I felt that this needed some highlighting and so the post...

I think any host who is not an outright cheat will be supportive, because there is no contract and every one moves from month to month... but support that gives the right answers and resolves your problems is in a better category altogether.

Anyway, as you said, I will share my experiences on both the support and the server from time to time..

Cheers
Balaji

PS: BTW, your domain name and your forum rocks!! :)

I have a few conversation with Alan a while back when I am looking for a reseller plan. Actually I intend to get a reseller account from Alan but since he is not accepting Paypal payment... too bad :(

During the conversation, I realise Alan has good technical knowledge... sometimes talked something about other topics and he doesn't mind whether I am his customers or not :D

By the way, this is just my experience with Alan and I think if he does accept Paypal as an alternative payment option... chances of closing sales will be higher.

Maybe I will visit his site when I am free and chat with him some more... he is such a nice guy to chat with ;)

In the end I sign up with EcommerceDiscovery.com and do appreciate Josh honesty and his way of handling things so far. I do encounter a few problems but I am very pleased with the way Josh is doing and Josh even offer me a month of free hosting due to all those problems (bugs in WHM/Cpanel)... I didn't accept this deal though as I believe he deserves the monthly fee from me.

Cheers!

Regards,
Choon

That's good :D

Actually we should know that if we provide more payment options, chances of getting sales will be much more higher but we will have more work to track on it though ;)

Keep in touch and maybe I will need a reseller account from you soon ;)

I have been with SplashHost.com for over 1 month now. I am very happy with how the server performs and the reliable network it is connected to. Alan is really cool also, I like when I can get support over ICQ instead of having to send an email.

I have a reseller account with www.splashhost.com .

I am trying to upload some files to the server via Ftp but it seems their server is down. I hope it's not some serious trouble that Alan is having.

Yup, it's working fine now. Thanks Alan for the fast response to have the server working with minutes. I have every confidence in your superb service and support and would certainly recommend anyone looking for a reseller account.

Its early days for me yet with Alan and SplashHost as I moved there 25th December, from DonHost, who cut off FTP and Control panel access from 24th to 27th.

But to my shock, the guy was ONLINE Christmas day of all days, to answer his Livehelp. And the account was up and running in under 10 minutes.

Thats what I call customer service!

Can someone help me pick my jaw off the ground peeerrlease? ;)

Mark

I've been with Alan for about a month now and can safely say you will likely find him available for support anytime you need him. :) He is almost always online via ICQ -- everytime I load it here's online...that's despite a 6 hour time difference between here and the UK.

On the rare occasion I've needed him, he's always responded within minutes. I can't speak highly enough of that.

Does he have anyone working with him?
What if he wants a vacation?
