Hi all,

I am looking for some advice on the following. I have a company that specializes in web design and development and we use our web site to show the proposed design to our posible customers. We have two servers configured (one Linux the other Windows) at our facilities (just a office) but the speed of our dedicated line is just 32 Kb (it costs 640$ monthly here in La Paz, Bolivia) so our sites look a 'little bit' slow.

The solution we want to go with is virtual development hosting, we are not sure to go with a dedicated server yet, I post a request at the specialized forum here and receive two responses, one from focalhosting... it seems pretty OK, any thoughts about this company and Sitebysize...

This was my list of requirements: servlets, jsp, php, perl, python, cocoon, postgresql & mysql support, asp if possible.

This is my question, do you know any company that can offer me asp integrated with the linux requirements above, for example that have Chilisoft ASP or do I have to find another server for these.

Can you recommend also an Oracle hosting company, and if they use Linux it will also be great.

Thanks in advance

Any ISP running freeVSD should be able to offer you most, or all of those in a virtual private server solution. Maybe there's a few of them on this board...

Or you could PM me... Let me know your geo. location and I'll see what I can find ;)

I am about to make my decision but I am not sure because these three are differents so If I want everything combined I will have to rent hosting in these three ?

I checked DSVR virtual server plans and they do not support Java so here are the chosen based in lower costs.

Focalhosting.com for Java, Python, Postgre, Mysql.
Hostlead.com for Oracle and ASP support (4.95$) the basic plan I can not believe yet.
Phastnet.com for Chilisoft ASP support

Anyone know something about these companies there are not many opinions about them.

...because this is shared hosting, not a virtual server. But it may be ok as long as you're not willing to do anything too twisted for the server configuration. But if you ever want to start customizing the server you'll have to choose a much more expensive solution, such as a genuine virtual server.
