I have a client with a domain that stopped resolving Feb 20. It is registered at 1stdomain.net, which I had never heard of. They appear to be a ICANN-accredited.
But they do not respond to any contact. I have phoned (machine), emailed 3 x with no response, faxed, and attempted to renew (although it has not expired). The CC payment would not go through.
That looks like a registrar in trouble, or out of business.
Anyone have any suggestions what to do? There is a hold on the domain, so it won't transfer.
What if they never answer? How do we get the domain away from them? The poor client has no email or site.
