I'm in the market for a new win2k box and quite fancy the packages offered at ewsnl.com.

Just wondered what experiences people have had, good and bad, - I'm also a little worried in that I mailed them a query yesterday and haven't heard anything ( me . . impatient . . never ).

If anyone else currently has any good offers going on win2k I'd also like to hear from you !

I started out at Eagle Web Sept 2001, and everything was fine and dandy. Servers and ftp were fast, and the people were polite and responsive.

Unfortunately, this month is when my nightmare started.

Last week my site was down for 12 hours. I e-mailed them, and they responded the next day and apologized, claiming it was due to server upgrades. Forgivable, so I stayed on...

Yesterday, my site went down again, and it's been down since... until now. I've e-mailed them 4-5 times already, and there's no response whatsoever. My site's been down for almost 36 hours already, and still counting.

What's more, their site is down too. I don't know wtf is happening but I'm currently shopping around for another host just in case they don't push through. Things look bleak but I'm still hoping, since I've already paid for this month in full!

why go with 2k ?

Because we develop sites as well as hosting them and our preferred platform is IIS, this is not a new company and we've got a fair number of existing clients to move over ( a good proportion of the sites we built originally ).

We do offer LINUX / Apache hosting as well but the core business is IIS.
