Do you have a budget for that? There are hosts offering it for a variance of $5 - $100 for specs like that.

I would suggest that you need a dedicated server, not a reseller account, with specs like that.

30 GB of space, in the case of most servers, is just under a 3rd of all space on the box. 200GB of transfer, in most cases, is a quarter, or a fifth, of what is available on the box.

I'd like to find a reliable provider as well. However I'd be happy with 10-15gig space and 200+ bandwidth.

Anyone have any recommendations in that area in prices at or around $50 a month?

Either get a DS (for a little more, of course) or two reseller accounts on two separate servers for that amount from Equivity.

My recommendation would be to check the Offers/Requests Forum and/or contact prospective hosting companies for a custom account.

May I ask are you using this account to resell webspace or for simply high traffic, multple domain hosting?

I'd say shoot for a fully managed VPS.

www.servint.com has them. :)

I 2nd that.. :) Seems a little high for a reseller plan.. If you want a server I would look at ev1servers for lowend servers and rackspace.com for high end ( good stuff ).. :)

ev1 will have servers with CP's suchs as cpanel, plesk and such. Should make it easier for you if you have not managed a system before.

You would probably be better off going with a dedicated server. A Nocster server would be in your price range: http://www.nocster.com/closeout.shtml

Good luck!

You might be able to save about $10-$15/month if you go through a reseller like Fred (HiyaCorp) or Matt (MainArea).

Nocster is very newbie friendly and offers great support, but they might not be for you. If that's the case, you might also want to look into ServerMatrix, which is in the same price range as Nocster.

SM has a great network, but their tech support isn't quite as good as Nocster's, from what I've heard.

whats the dif between both?

dedicated and a reseller?
is just that i see reseller plans with all the programs i need installed.

and i see dedicated offers and i just see the hardware they offer, dont know what or how much it cost me to install all i need like WHM/Cpanel etc...

Do you have to have cpanel? If not, you can grab yourself a few of these reseller plans (http://www.simpli.biz/directadmin.php) with Direct Admin offered by Simpli Hosting. $78 a month for 200gb bandwidth, but your required disk space will be about half of what you are looking for, so it may not work. Do you really need 30gb storage? I have an account there, and I am not sure if they have a limit on how many plans you can get at this price. Might be one per customer, I don't know, and don't have time to read up on it.

Also, check out a Virtual Private Server. If you can increase your budget by about 40%, you can get the Ultimate VPS package which is 300gb transfer, 20gb storage, whm/cpanel, from Servint (http://www.servint.net/vps/). Fully managed.

Just a few options to consider.

If you don't know the difference between dedicated and reseller, than I would definitely recommend you get either a reseller or a virtual private server account. In the price range you posted, you can probably get a dedicated server, but it will be unmanaged. Sounds like you would need fully managed, and the cost will most likely be more than twice your budget.

Good luck

And CesarB, what is your current situation? Are you hosted somewhere now, or just starting out fresh?

For such spec, why not get a dedicated server?

Yea, I was wondering that too. But for a budget of only $70 to $90 I didn't think the chances were too good, especially if he needs managed. But come to think of it, around here anything is possible!

CesarB, we've been very happy with our reseller account at SRLNet.com for the last 7 or 8 months. I'm always happy to recommend SRLNet.com to people who are looking for reseller hosting. Your specs are more than their largest plan, but if you contact Rob, they might be able to do something for you.

anyone know of any great reseller host that offer great support? The price is not a problem. I intend to get a reseller account host some of my business site. Hope I can get one with real 24/7 support.

Great support? Equivity.

I have an account with them and they have answered my support requests with them in a reasonable amount of time and sometimes even within a minute of posting them.

I catch them via ICQ as they're almost always online there.

You would only need 5 accounts on a 30-40 account reseller server using 200gb/mo and that server would be as sluggish as hell. You'll only be back here looking for a new host in 6 weeks so just don't do it to yourself.

I recommend that you tame down your requirements or go for a managed server. Don't add to the hosting industry's pain by getting a server without someone to admin and secure it. You'll get hacked on many levels and at best, your uptime will stink due to script kiddies dumping useful programs in your /tmp partition. ;)
