Have you seen this before?

This is cablemodem and it is pretty neat, I like them and it use USB which was great

Should I get a firewall router and hub to make more networking pc's to connect to 1 account?

Firewall/switch combo would be pretty good.

Are you looking for something to connect multiple computers to your cable right?

Since it is usb I do not really have a suggestion, but I use the linksys cable modem router and it works great. All you need is a hub and you can connet plent of computers to it. Very little setup and no software to install.

You can get the 4 port Linksys Etherfast Cable/DSL Router w/ switch (http://www.linksys.com/products/product.asp?prid=20&grid=5) (what I have) for $80 now (http://www.dealtime.com/SearchResults/DoItemResults/1,2440,-1677-------,00.html?keywords=linksys befsr41&GSID={AAB49EA5-C680-11D5-B1BF-00508B691C39}&dblLinkInID=1006439&strLinkInKwrd=linksys%20befsr41&intCookEn=-1). Quite cheap...

Your cable modem is much prettier than mine ;) .
I have an ugly black toshiba with green lights that sits flat, but its speed and reliability are awsome.

Hey! That modem looks familiar! It's the new @home modem the guy said a month or two ago.

Chicken is right, as usual, the Linksys cable/DSL router is an excellent choice. I have installed four of them for small business networks, as well as at home, and they have worked well. Literally 5-minute setup time!

Here's my desktop wiring closet! :D Cable modem on top, The Linksys router/switch in the middle, and a 10/100 switch on the bottom. Takes up less space than a six pack of... coke.

Yeah, like someone else wrote, Linksys is pretty cool.

Personnally I have set up a Linux box: it's my firewall/proxy/ldap server, plus I can use it to tests the new apache releases, etc. So it's not like it's a waste of hardware...and I can still patch the kernel the day my friends persuade me to use NetMeeting. Something you can't do with a hardware switch...
