I am looking for a new web host. (I was with hostsave but their support is absolutely incompetent - or fraudulent, I am not sure which.)
Anyway, I am looking at Omnis. Does anybody have any experience with them? They say that they even have telephone support. I wonder how long you have to sit on hold?
Anything you can tell me about them would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Judd

Omnis... yes. I hosted a few sites with them. They lack alot of features... they are also hard to get an email from sometimes if you have a problem. Also... their 'telephone support' is shady at best.
But overall, I really didn't have too many problems with them... just grew out of them I suppose.
My biggest complaint is their features. they don't have many! :)

I have used omnis for the past three years and can confirm that they are cheap and mostly reliable but very light on features and support. The webmail is crude and doesn't work as it should but you get what you pay for.

I have been with omnis for about 2.5 years. I have 2 domain names and 2 website. The webmail works just fine as well as support. I've had only 1 problem since i started with Omnis. Overall, I would rate them 8 out of 10.
If you purchase a plan from omnis, please use my referal code:wi6n20j

roadrunner, it is not proper to reply to a thread as old as this one is and especially not to solicit others to use your affiliate ID for referals.
No offence but you may just want to check out the forum rules before posting.
Best Wishes for a .Net Success!

:D Is referral code any different from signature when replying to a post? I'll just include it in my signature or may be post it where ads are allowed. Thanks for the advice though. I'm planning to host my clients websites and i'm looking for a reliable hosting company that offers reselling or VPS.

Omnis is light on features and support?
Does someone mind elaborating on those 2 points? Also, I wonder if the part about their "phone support being shady" still applies, since the post was made about 2 years ago.
And before someone starts telling me that "you get what you pay for" and starts talking about loss in revenue, I'd like to point out that the site hosted will be a manga site, not a business site. Therefore, if anything is lost, it shouldn't be too difficult to add back the info.
Also, I'd also like to know how good their uptime record has been.
Thank you so much for reading! :)

I think jspittler has probably found a host or three in the nearly three years since his enquiry.
