I read most of the posts about the 1-877/1-888 plans and providers but who do you use for long distance. You could list who your company uses and who you use at home also. I am looking for a new long distance plan, so who do you use?

I recently switched to Qwest - through another company.

5.9 cents/minute, 6 second billing, no monthly minimum, no monthly service charge
(They also have a 4.9 cents/minute plan, but need to spend at least $15/month to avoid $2.50 fee)

There are no fixed monthly surcharges or taxes either.

Also got 4 toll free 877 numbers - no monthly charge for these and the rate is also 5.9 cents/minute.

I set up two of these numbers to ring to the same local phone number for a couple reasons. I list one for orders and a different one for customer service - when I get the bill, it shows the calls from the different 877 numbers separately, so I'm able to see how much time and $ I'm spending for orders versus service.

P.S. if you sign up as an agent first, you'll get commissions on your own long distance charges.

I use a calling card from www.onesuite.com for most of my long distance. It's 2.9 cents per minute with no extra fees or minimums.

I use the same one as Fox and one_web (powernetglobal). Not sure if anyone recalls, but MCI convinced me to switch (weak moment) and of course they didn't offer what they said they were going to give me. Bastards! Monthly fees, higher per minute, etc. They SUCK! AHHHHHH!

*whew* that felt good!
