If I change a reseller package to another hoster (who has servers in another datacenter), will I need to change my own and my clients' IP addresses? Will I be able to do this?

Yes you would be given new ips to use.

Will this affect me or my clients in any way (downtime, connectivity, etc.)?

Well if you can get the host where you are now to point /redirect your present dns then there should be no downtime or very little

Keep both systems live, with about a weeks overlap, and you should be ok.

If you have control over the DNS records at your current host, you can do this:

Order a new account with your new host, and copy over your domains.

Change the DNS IP information at the registrar for your nameservers. Edit the DNS records at your current host with your new IP information.

This way, your websites will run on your new host, while your DNS information is still with your old host. And once the DNS information is updated at the registrar, the transfer is complete and you can delete your domains with your old host.

FYI - Sent this in response to equivity's response to my orginal support ticket.

How can I read the forum and get the correct information when your entire website is down? Posting the message on your forum at
1:30pm and shutting it down that evening doesn't give us to much of a warning. Some of us do have lives you know, and not in front
of our computer reading your forum 24/7. I strongly recommend that in these rare (hopefully) situations where you need do some urgent
maintenance on the same day you should send a mass email to all your customers warning them instead of just posting it on the forum
and hoping that everyone see's it. Some companies do this....and I think you should to. The only information I could get at the time was
from 3rd party forums. Let me know what you think about this. I'm interested to read your response.

Looking forward to continuining business with you,

Dan K.

P.S. You could be a little bit nicer in respose. ; )

If you read the customer help forums, before accusing us of what we are doing you might understand that. Feel free to cancel your account is you like, but please get the correct information before you do.
