How long do you think is allowed for a company to create your "new" account ?

I'm asking this because I signed up with a host, did the payment with VISA and now, almost 48 hours later, I still haven't heard a word from them on the account status.

No mail, nothing on the website ...

I'm thinking to cancel and get my refund from VISA.

Hi

I should reckon on average it should not take any more then 6 hours to create a new account, and espcially no more then 48. I would advice you to really consider getting a refund as if creating an account takes this long, I wonder how long the support would take?

6 would be reasonable unless the transaction is being processed and investigated manually by accounting or sales and they do not work over the weekend.

Contact them first before you do a chargeback.. at times it could be that the email confirmation could have been lost in cyberspace due to some network issues or mistyped email address. Was the amount already deducted from your card ?

Up to 6-12 hours, depending on the type of account, the other things taken into account for fraud checks, previous experience with the customer, etc..

48 hours for any type of shared account is a bit long, IMHO.
