Clipped CMS a content management system which allows easy management of downloads, news articles, and other content, along with links and partners. We will be releasing v2.2 of our cms, along with our dedicated site and forums on 9th March 2004, and we are scheduling a marketing campaign to co-inside with this.
A Clipped CMS license usually retails at £30 / $60 for an owned license. This includes 3 months of helpdesk support, lifetime forum access, and free v2.x upgrades for up to 1 year after purchase. During March 9th to 16th all licenses will be priced at £15 / $30 per license. There are currently 2 developers of Clipped CMS, myself and another php coder.
Advertising
We would like to place our banner on a number of websites for the period of 9th to 16th March. Sites related to hosting, web design, tutorials on how to run a website, php websites and other internet/website related sites would be ideal. Sites must have more than 50 unique hits a day. If your site meets these guidelines, please email us with detailed statistics and your rates for 1 WEEK of advertising during 9th – 16th March.

Competitions
We have allocated 50 licenses to be distributed in competitions ran by websites related to web design and “web mastering”. Your site should be active and preferably have an active forum of over 250 members. Each site can have more than one license to give away, depending on the size of the site.
If you would like to run a competition with Clipped CMS as a prize, then please get in touch ( competitions@clippedcms.com ). The competition would be required to run between the 9th and the 16th of March.
You will be able to set your own entry requirements along with what tasks/questions entrants will be required to answer/complete. However, as part of the competition, you must ask the entrants to suggest a slogan for our CMS. Our current one is: “The only CMS you need to look at” and is far from ideal. These will need to be passed onto us, and we will pick the slogan which we believe suits our product best. The person who suggested the winning slogan will be provided with a CMS license including updates and support for life.
Resellers / Partners
We are looking for web hosts, designers and other sites to partner with us, to sell Clipped CMS to their clients and users.
Our reseller rates start at £21 / $40 and go as low as £10 / $20 per license depending on the number of licenses sold, and all support is handled by us. You are allowed to sell the licenses at whatever rates you wish.
During 9th – 31st March all resold licenses will be £8 / $15 as part of our marketing campaign.
As I also own a web hosting company, I have already been offering earlier Clipped CMS versions to my clients. Clipped CMS has proved to have been very popular, with around 10-25% of clients purchasing Clipped CMS along with hosting, or at a later stage.
We are also looking for a number of “Premium Partners” who would actively promote Clipped CMS on their site(s). Premium Partners get licenses at lower rates quicker than normal resellers/partners, and are also able to get large discounts on our per-server licensing plan for the cms.
All partners/resellers are listed on our site’s partner page, including a logo and short paragraph about the company; with Premium Partners being at the top of the page.
