So what do you think of the new lottery that gives frenchies and gerrys and various other nationalitys a chance of getting our lottery dosh, and as a side note what do you think of the fact that we british are paying more for a ticket than the other's?

personaly i will never play it for the simple reason that i will not give my money away to the french because i dont like them, they have the audacity to ban our beef when the euro ban was lifted and the beef declared safe and stick 2 fingers up at us when the euro parliament tells them it is illegal. They then expect us to buy as much of their crud as they can foist on us and expect us to say thanks. They decimate the war graves of the very soldiers that stopped them from speaking german when they didnt have the military capability to do so themselves.

If thats not bad enough they dont wash ever!

and as for the germans bloody cheating gits the lot of em!!!!!!look at klinsman he could be a gold medal contender at diving thats why spurs bought him......

Couldn't care less, never buy tickets - i I'm going to get rich it's going to be through hard work not luck.

I think it's a desparately sad state of affairs nowadays when the highlight of some peoples week is sitting in front of the telly hoping their numbers get called out.

Um let's see, if a jackpot is $50 million and suppose you make $50,000 a year, it would take 1000 years to accumulate that much.

The radio advert is quite good but i don't do the lottery unless there i some insane jackpot. Enough other people i know do the lotto for me to rake in if they win anyway

What i find a joke is the small sum involved for a lottery spanning countries is it? More than a 120 million people or something and that is what you get. When the US do one of there multi state lottos the jackpot is insanely huge. I might do the lotto set up for the London Olympic bid but that is a maybe; i prefer to gamble my money on real people or animals [the four legged kind or the big bird race coming up looks interesting].

my_forum_id, who said anything about sitting infront of the TV, you just pay your pound and check later. Surely you can see the appeal of receiving a life changing amount of money, whether to give some to charity or go on a holiday or pay off the mortgage or buy a villa on the Med or invest it in your football club you must see why people do it.

The funny thing is long term lotto participants trying to make the decision of stopping completely or one of their lines. The same dilema is always there, what if i stop this week and my numbers come up next week, how gutted will i feel or as sick as a parrot and all that.

Oh and can i rub acid into my eye socket as well as vinegar? Now i think about it, maybe i'll pass.

That it's no different from the UK lottery, a tax on the mentally challenged.
