Check eBay. Really. I happened to notice someone auctioning his adult site last month -- domain name, content, the works. All snickering aside, his site was very professionally done. (OK! OK! I peeked. . . a little.)

My point is, you might find something good there.

Watch out for template ebay sellers. They usually prefer NOT to get feedback, so that people can't see that they've sold the same website five times in the last few months. All they really need to do is change a style sheet and template and it's a completely different site. Just has the same content (that they probably scammed from another site of the same type).

Be careful, ask for a portfolio with contacts.

Most of the site templates that you're referign to I think is from Vstore. :) I saw some go as high as $1500

I'm not sure about Vstore (not familiar with them), but I think what Beauzeau was talking about, is that let's say I wanted to sell woobster.com on ebay. I sell it to you (content and domain), and then a week later you see the same site for sale called wookster.com (same content, design, etc.).

Vstores are "websites" you can get for free @ http://www.vstore.com & you earn a commission from what you're able to sell on your site.

Some people are actually willing to pay for what they can get for free.... and I always wonder how people like seller of http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=460967930 are able to sleep at night. Sigh~
