Thinking about buying a Media Center PC

For those of you who have purchased one...

3. What do you like / dislike about your Media Center PC?

I've never seen the point of a media centre PC.

If I wanted something to hook up to the TV etc. I'd build a shuttle-type case with a PIII 1Ghz (runs cool and last decent chip to come out of Intel) with 512mb ram, running myHTPC.

Shouldn't cost more than $400 to do.
