I have a cobalt RAQ4r server and Just about a week ago i was looking at my MRTG graphs and it was showing that I had transfered about 25GIGs so far in that month. today, I looked at the graphs, Its telling me that I transfered 611GIGs and its growing everytime i refresh!!!!! Is it posible for a RAQ with about 80sites to be able to burst that much traffic in less than a week without blinking?????

might want to check the sites out... there's a good chance that one of them might be sneaking in some illegal content.

I doubt a raq can push 600 GB of bandwidth. Who is your host?

Dialtone Internet is the host. . .

I went ahead and saved the Bandwidth Graph, can someone take a look at it and tell me what this looks like??? Is it possible??? I was once told that a RAQ would be lucky if it could put through more than 100gigs in one month.

How much are they charging you for overage ? Are they charging you by the 95th percentile ?

I doubt a raq can even go to 300 GB of transfer per month, not to mention about 600 GB limit. Have you contacted Dialtone Internet regarding that ?

Well, that depends entirely on what you are running on this box. Not even the Raq4r is able to push 600GB per month if the domains on this box use PHP and Mysql. If they also use ASP this figure would go much more down.
ONLY if you have static content (simple html pages) you will be able to push this amount of data. But i really doubt it. My thinking is about 300-400 gigs a month.

What about pirates abusing the anonymous ftp login???

They might have the latest windows XP for download and the whole world might be downloading it right now.

We are being charged on "Avarage" from Dialtone Internet. The charge is $5/gig. We are only allociated 65GIGs a month.

I would try to find what's sucking up that bandwidth fast.

Try, searching through your apache logs, and ftp logs.

i still beleive a raq can push 600 gigs easy..
Now if you want to talk about the box SPECS... then that's a different story..... That raq is able to transfer 600gb no problem.
