I'm looking for a couple of names but specifically I'd like to search for available names based on key words. I've come across name suggestion tools but frankly theyre pretty bad so far.
Anyone got pointers to a service like this, I cant seem to find anything. :(

Well, ummm... which ones have you used? Nameboy and various other places have these but I don't find them all that useful. Basically add 'super' to the beginning of your keywords and that's about it, heh.

Tried em but theyre not all that halpful are they.
Guess I'll just have to exercise my brain and be patient using a whois.......
I'm specifically looking for a .com or mabye a .net but good ones are getting extremely hard to come by these days.

Well, why don't you ask us? Give us the type of website/domain you want, and We'll give you some ideas! Another poster did this recently and got a ton of replies...

I was trying to think up 2 names, one would be a decent name with the word hosting or host in it, just for the challenge because there are so few left. But folks might be a little reluctant about that here :D
The other one is a friend asked me to come up with a really good name for an adult site, and I dont think the words involved belong on these pages. :)
Might want to take a look at www.deleteddomains.com. There might be something you're interested in there :)
Good luck!

www.whois.net has an expired domain listing with a search engine. You have to wade through some rubbish but the occasional gem pops up. Just use the advanced search and try a word you want, either at the start or the end...

1. When I check on whois.net and find domain names I think would be well used, I do a check on the search engines and there are no links? Is there a way of checking domains and link popularity at the same time as that's often a key concern.
2. Is there a way of finding out what .co.uk's have expired recently. I haven't known of anyone who can tell this but for us UK companies, that would be really useful.

Thanks Akashik & Toby, I'll give them a try.
As to link popularity all I know is there are a few engines you can find this out on but I dont know of anything combined with a whois, but it sounds like such a good idea I bet someones done it

If someone does it, does anyone know who?
