All you have to do is to exchange links with other websites. I'd suggest you exchange links with sites that have PR4 and above.

This will help you boost your rankings. Even ask website owners with PR7 . Sometimes it helps :D

If you want a paid way to boost your PR try www.linkadage.com or http://marketbanker.com/ to purchase links.

Gr3gy, you could also try PFI search engines/directories. And PFI business directories like business.com - bear in mind that many webmasters are tired of getting canned emails requesting links. Take the trouble to send each webmaster a personalised email and you may have better results.

What exactly is a google PR? I have seen people talk about it but have never seen what it actually is and its use.

so if a page rank is a 6 that means your link will show up on the 6th page of a search? Also where do you find out what your PR is?

Well, Say my site is indied.com and its keywords are going to be like indied,online game...etc... Would i like it like "indied.com- Online Game" or what? Also how long after you are linked does it take to get the PR? Anyone want to xchange links? I will be getting 4-5k hits a day starting next week

As far as I know the amount of traffic will not help you boost your ranking so it's something that's not needed to mention.

If you're asking for someone to link back to your website your text should be the "keyword" . I mean if you want to get higher ranking in term "online game" the site owner who links back to your website should link to your site like <a href=http://www.yoursiteurl.com>online game</a> .
This will help you get better results from search terms.

However even if you have backlinks withouth a term it will help you boost your Page Rank.

To increase your page ranking you need to exchange links with sites similar to your site.
