I submitted a domain registrar transfer request on Monday (15th) and Netowork Solutions is rejecting it because it was not paid... This is Bull.. Anyone esle have this problem?

Network Solutions, a VeriSign company, instructed the registry not to
transfer the domain name registration to a different registrar because
the domain name, FEINBERG.ORG, did not meet the registrar change
criteria.

Specifically, the domain name did not meet the criteria because:

The registration fee for the domain name, FEINBERG.ORG, has not been
paid. The domain name is beyond the record expiration date 10-15-2001.

Well by the looks of the whois output it expired on the 15th. Looks like you have had the domain for three years. Did you pay for more than three years?

Also, I don't think theywill allow you to transfer 14 days prior to expiration. That may have changed to something shorter, but I know it is around there.

oops.. I made a edit to the post. I requested a registrar request to my OpenSRS account because I don't want to pay the $35 per year anymore.

unfortunately you are going to have to pay for one more year to get it away from them.

I had a similar problem with Network Solutions. I paid for domain registeration twice for a renewal, once online and on the phone and neither of them took. My partner went in and was able to re register it again. We are both listed on the domain as contacts, not sure what happened, but neither of the charges ever appeared on my card so I guess we got lucky

This is what might have happened to you!

We have had some fail 30 days out! I do not think there is a set number.

Also Matt, as a OpenSRS reseller (or as any reseller probably), it will drive you nuts the number of transfer failures you will get. I looked at our stats the other day, out of almost 120 transfer attempts, only 45 were completed. These domains are checked for valid admin addresses and proper payment time remaining too. Because of this, we stopped advertising cheap transfers. We spent more time finding out why they failed and doing refunds, then we made on transfers. Maybe it was just us?
