View Full Version : Can someone edit my pic please?
Nullified 02-18-2004, 02:25 AM I need this pic I have attached edited. I totally suck with editing pics so I figured someone here would be able to help me.
I want the left side of the pic to say servers located in the ev1 network. I need the words "servers located" on the first line with the same maroon text color as "serving over". I need the words "in the" on the second line on the left side in the same size text as the first line but the same color as the text of "10,000" and with "ev1" on the right in big letters the size and color of 10,000.
And on the last line where it says "websites" I need it to say network in the same color text as the first line that says "serving over".
Feel free to create other variations of this pic if yo think you can enhance it even more.
thank you.
W4 Hosting 02-18-2004, 10:56 AM OK I will give it a try and see if i can give you a preview by today.

aredding 02-18-2004, 11:24 AM like this?
Normally i woudlnt do this but it took only a sec to do, and i needed to get my mind on something else for a bit.
Nullified 02-18-2004, 11:31 AM Yes that will do. Thank you for the help. I'm not a picture expert at all, lol.
W4 Hosting 02-18-2004, 11:45 AM aredding, lol you were quick. anyway, it looks good.
godfray 02-19-2004, 12:38 PM I will give it a try later today as well!
Nullified 02-19-2004, 12:53 PM Cool, now i get to choose which I like more... :)
cactus 02-19-2004, 01:17 PM Here's mine... www.boomhost.com/Test/ev1.gif
Just right click on image to save.
NOTE: borrowed from aredding's design.

cactus 02-19-2004, 02:00 PM Another one with using color gradient
www.boomhost.com/Test/ev2.gif
Nullified 02-19-2004, 02:01 PM I like the color in the pics cactus, but they don't work with my site design. The borders look weird and the gray/gradient backgrounds (even though look cool) doesn't match my site. And you changed the top of the pic and that can't be changed because it is a part of another pic. Check out my site (http://www.hotlinkhosting.com) to see what I mean if you want.

Hmm.....
Nullified 02-19-2004, 02:07 PM Sorry quoted wrong person. Ignore this post.
cactus 02-19-2004, 02:07 PM Oops sorry, could you give me some ideas how you would like it to blend with your site, maybe I will do it again.
Nullified 02-19-2004, 02:13 PM Well, Aredding did one that works, but if you would like to try go for a better one go ahead. The only things that I need/can be changed are the words and the colors of the words in the pic (as specified in the first post).
6thDay 02-19-2004, 02:14 PM lol, this reminds me of a dilbert strip where dilbert joins a club that's against engenerring stereotypes.
there's a bakesale and everyone makes the same thing-a volcano-to try to out do each other.
cactus 02-19-2004, 02:21 PM Haha 6thDay... don't worry it's just for fun and also helping a fellow member.
Anyways, here's a lighter color without the bevel after looking at your site www.boomhost.com/Test/ev3.gif
Nullified 02-19-2004, 02:34 PM No thanks, I'll stick with the white background pic that Aredding made. My site isn't that colorful.
cactus 02-19-2004, 02:41 PM Ok I understand... anyways I just modified the text a little bit using Aredding's design

I like this design.
Could you customize it some more?
if so I would like "in the" and "network" (on the left) to be the same color/effect of "servers located" and make "network" a tiny bit bigger (as to wear it's the same length as the bottom width of "ev1"). As for the left can you change it so "99%" is on the left and "uptime" is on the right with "gauruntee" still on the bottom. And make "99%" the same color as ev1 and make "uptime gaurantee" the same color as "servers located".
cactus 02-19-2004, 03:20 PM OK done. Please let me know if you need any changes.

cactus 02-19-2004, 03:30 PM Oops! sorry didn't read carefully, the 99% should be in dark blue
Here's the correct one www.boomhost.com/Test/ev5.gif
Nullified 02-19-2004, 03:48 PM Yes, can you make the network a little bit smaller. not so tall either.
cactus 02-19-2004, 03:57 PM Done. Is it ok? www.boomhost.com/Test/ev5.gif
aredding 02-19-2004, 05:43 PM good lord.. dont go overboard.. this is an informational grahpic.. not the central focus point of the page.. you dont want it to stick out. There is a fine line between under designed | well designed | and over designed.
Im not saying the images are no good, just saying to look at everything as a whole. ;)
BTW: did you know your site does not work properly in gecko based browsers (netscape, firebird, firefox)?
6thDay 02-19-2004, 08:35 PM EVERYTHING should be over done. if it isn't, it's not worth looking at:D :stickout:
Sasan 02-20-2004, 02:02 AM aredding had the most professional version
Nullified 02-20-2004, 05:10 PM thank you for the help, cactus, but i am sticking with arreding's design.

I just downlaoded netscape and see some problems with the tables and i guess the <tr> and <td> tags aren't configured for both broswers correctly. I also so noticed the style sheet not working correctly. how would i fix this problem to work with ie and netscape?
cactus 02-20-2004, 09:02 PM Hi HotLinkHost,
No problem, yes I would agree with you aredding's design does look more suitable with your site layout.
