I have seen similar pages.
One along the way was very nice though. It would suggest the right page 90% of the time, and have a field where you just type in the address, and it took that browser page there. Now it just goes to a page similar to the one you gave a link to. I couldn't stand one with pop-ups, there is probably a setting somewhere for it.

I had the same problem. I followed a link on the page it took me to that told me how to fix it.
I had to delete a line from.. some system file. lol. I don't remember.
A lot of help I was :D

I think it is this file:
C:\WINNT\system32\shdoclc.dll
-but don't ask me how to edit it. You might be running something other than win2k (says NT, but in general I'm running 2k).

whenever i type in a URL incorrectly i get the MSN search page, like when i mis place a DOT or a single letter.
It then commences to change the URL in the Address bar meaning i have to type the whole thing in again.
VERY annoying i tell you, i think ill look into changing that file thats been mentioned.
