After several years experience with several different dedicated companys, I have to say, RackSpace is the best of all.

RackSpace

* Very good hardware
* Very stable network
* Very professional support team
* Perfect Trouble ticket system
* The bandwidth usage is very trustable
* It is somewhat expensive
* Response is not very quick

RackShack

I would say, RackShack is the best of all cheap servers

CIT/FooNet

Sorry, CIT/FooNet has gone, but I have used their server for
one year without any problems. Thanks to Xerox & Paul's work.

That's why I ordered ServerMatix's server several days ago.

ServerMatix/ThePlanet

Before I decided to order a server from ServerMatrix, I read too
many recomendations from this forum, so I have to give them
a try, I placed an order 3 days ago.

I have to say, their response is very slow, and the support team
is very unprofessional. They just do not answer your questions,
or answer your questions incompletely. I ask their 5 questions,
they will answer 1 or 2 of them. And the answer is ambigious.

And they server does not offer free control panel, you have to
order cPanel. And they even also do not offer Plesk for payment.

Tera-Byte.com

This company's server is also very cheap. $99 for 500GB transfer.
And I have to say TeraByte owns a very professional support team, they will answer your every quesitons within 5 minutes. And the answers are always satisfactory. They offer free DNS
system, free CPanel.

But I have a unhappy experience with them, that is I have been charged $500 just because I do not unchecked the "Adult" option. But the default is "Adult", and you can not argue with them, they just will not refund anything.

And they will unplug your server without first notice. I have this experiece that why I changed from them to RackShack.

Does tera-byte has P4 / AMD servers rather than RaQ servers?

I've had clients that also had servers with them. From what I saw, a lot of the time their support can't help outside of reboot/reimage. More than once we took support requests for machines in SM, some as silly as how to mount a hard drive in system. The guy put it in, but could mount it to the linux file system *sigh* So out of despiration, we get the call.

But, growing as large as fast as they have, it must be really hard to find good help. Also, at their pricing structure, I can't see how they could afford top techs, that demand top pay. Get what you pay for rings a bell ;)
