Hi,
Wondering if anyone had recommendations for Linux dedicated hosting providers in Canada. Speciically, our application requires the following:
- Xserver / Xwindows
- Xfonts for Cyrillic fonts
- Xvfb
- JSDK 1.3
- TomCat
- Apache
- Perl 5.x
- PHP 4
- mySQL
- SSH access
Hardware requirements are pretty basic-- Penitum II 400 / 128MB RAM will serve . . . monthly cost around CAD$220 / US$150

Hi, i'm from windsor, 4 hours away.
why not just get a dedicated server from somewhere else?
You can easily get better servers than that, for $100 american... $50 american. etc....

I'm not a hosting company. I was thinking of more of just sharing space with you in a rack somewhere. I'm looking to get some rackspace somewhere in a short while. Most places will only sell a 1/4 rack. I probably don't need that much space, so I wouldn't mind sharing some of the space.

yeah, i'm in toronto and would be interested as well ... i'd much rather have physical access to something than have a dedicated service with someone. maybe we can all work something out?

After Interland's latest response to one of my support requests for a VH addition, I think I'm in the market for a dedicated server too. I'm in Hamilton, Ontario so if anyone has had a good experience with a host in Toronto or anywhere else in Canada, please let me know. So far, I've been looking at Rackspace and VenturesOnline. Reliability and speed are my top priorities.
I have 165 virtual hosts but they only get about 10 hits per day so I was thinking of a p3 750 w/256 megs of ram or something along those lines.
I don't know enough about servers to go co-located.
