View Full Version : Legal Lock at Netsol?

Hi Guys,

I just bought a domain from the previous owner.

He tried to remove the registrar lock in order to transfer the domain to me, but wasn't able to do it, because Netsol locked the domain for legal reasons. He's also unable to change any whois info because of this legal lock. The status is registrar lock and not registrar hold.

Anybody got any ideas to unlock the domain and gain ownership of the domain?

Thanks

This sounds a bit odd. For legal reasons? What legal reasons?

Probably a domain dispute.

Email netsol, maybe the domain has a TM issue or somthing.

What is the domain? Might give abit of light on why the domain is locked!

Seems like a domain involved in some previous fraudulent transfer.

It could be either a domain dispute or fraud

I had this happen to one of my domains. The only thing I could figure out was back in the day of the email forms or when they first went to a control panel there was a box to "lock" the domain to prevent domain changes. The only way to remove the lock is a notorized statement from the company/person listed as the domain owner. It is a major hassle.
